{"id":9149,"date":"2025-11-05T20:44:42","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T12:44:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=9149"},"modified":"2025-11-05T20:44:42","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T12:44:42","slug":"5-taken-to-hospital-after-2-separate-accidents-on-tpe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=9149","title":{"rendered":"5 taken to hospital after 2 separate accidents on TPE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE &#8211;<!-- --> Five people were taken to hospital following two separate accidents on the TPE on the morning of Nov 5. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">At about 7.10am, the <!-- -->Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)<!-- --> and <!-- -->police<!-- --> were alerted to an accident involving a car, a van and three motorcycles along the TPE towards Changi Airport, before the KPE exit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">A 28-year-old male motorcyclist, a 21-year-old female motorcyclist and her 21-year-old male pillion rider were taken conscious to hospital. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">At about 8.45am, <!-- -->SCDF<!-- --> and the <!-- -->police<!-- --> were alerted to a second accident, this time involving a lorry and a motorcycle, also along the TPE.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The accident occurred towards Changi Airport near the Seletar Link exit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">A 29-year-old male motorcyclist and his 32-year-old female pillion rider were taken conscious to the hospital. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">A 39-year-old male lorry driver is assisting with investigations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Police investigations into both accidents are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In the first nine months of 2025, there were 7.4 per cent more traffic accidents resulting in injuries and fatalities than in the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Motorcyclists continue to be over-represented in accidents, with figures for motorcyclists involved in accidents increasing by 7.8 per cent to 3,191, from 2,960.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"tags-test-id\">\n<p><button data-testid=\"button-test-id\" class=\"layer-one border-default border interactive-button text-primary disabled:layer-disabled hover:disabled:layer-disabled default\" aria-label=\"button for Accidents - traffic\"><span class=\"font-button-md-semibold\">Accidents &#8211; traffic<\/span><\/button><button data-testid=\"button-test-id\" class=\"layer-one border-default border interactive-button text-primary disabled:layer-disabled hover:disabled:layer-disabled default\" aria-label=\"button for Accidents\"><span class=\"font-button-md-semibold\">Accidents<\/span><\/button><button data-testid=\"button-test-id\" class=\"layer-one border-default border interactive-button text-primary disabled:layer-disabled hover:disabled:layer-disabled default\" aria-label=\"button for Police\"><span class=\"font-button-md-semibold\">Police<\/span><\/button><button data-testid=\"button-test-id\" class=\"layer-one border-default border interactive-button text-primary disabled:layer-disabled hover:disabled:layer-disabled default\" aria-label=\"button for SCDF\"><span class=\"font-button-md-semibold\">SCDF<\/span><\/button><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/5-taken-to-hospital-after-2-separate-accidents-on-tpe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article At Source <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SINGAPORE &#8211; Five people were taken to hospital following two separate accidents on the TPE on the morning of Nov 5.
