Once overlooked by the global fashion industry, Southeast Asian couture and craftsmanship are now stepping into the spotlight as labels from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and neighbouring countries start to gain widespread admiration.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople always say it\u2019s like a kept secret,\u201d says Verawat Chinpilas, 38, co-founder and creative director of Thai fashion<\/span> brand Amr de Saison. \u201cBut, no, it\u2019s not a secret. You just weren\u2019t looking.\u201d<\/div>\n

Founded in Bangkok in 2022, Amr de Saison blends relaxed everyday essentials with urban tailoring. The brand has eight physical locations in the Thai capital and recently made its international debut with a pop-up exhibition in Hong Kong at Lane Crawford in Harbour City, with an exclusive line that features curated favourites by Thai actress Miu Natsha.<\/p>\n

Crafted in classic silhouettes, the brand\u2019s garments ranging from 1990s-style denim jeans and relaxed baseball tees to cashmere cardigans are created to achieve timelessness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
