Xiaomi\u2019s futuristic electric racer, the Vision Gran Turismo concept car<\/b>, is heading to Polyphony Digital\u2019s Gran Turismo 7<\/b> later this month. The announcement was made during Round 3 of the Gran Turismo World Series 2026 in Singapore over the weekend, where series producer Kazunori Yamauchi appeared alongside Jean-Arthur Madelaine, Head of Design at Xiaomi\u2019s Europe R&D and Design Centre.<\/p>\n
Xiaomi is the 36th brand to participate in the Vision Gran Turismo project, and the first technology company to do so. Xiaomi did not bring it to Singapore, however, so its arrival in Gran Turismo 7 is therefore the first time most of us will get to see what it can do.<\/p>\n Xiaomi describes the car\u2019s design philosophy as \u201cSculpted by the Wind\u201d. Its body is built around a suspended, teardrop-shaped cabin, while parts such as the cross-shaped headlights and halo-style rear light also have an aerodynamic function. An active wake-control system further manages airflow around the vehicle.<\/p>\n The car will also feature in Gran Turismo 7\u2019s first EV Experience mode, together with the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and other electric vehicles. The new mode will include dedicated challenges and training sessions built around the different acceleration, braking and handling characteristics of high-performance EVs.<\/p>\n The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo and EV Experience will be added to Gran Turismo 7 for the PS4 and PS5 this month.
