The foldable phone market is getting increasingly crowded, with Chinese phone maker Vivo joining the latest wave of global launches with its new flagship X Fold6.<\/p>\n
Unlike the Apple iPhone Duo and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Vivo has chosen not to follow the recent trend towards a slimmer, passport-sized foldable form factor. Instead, the X Fold6 sticks with a more traditional book-style design.<\/b><\/p>\n
The Vivo X Fold6 features a 6.51-inch cover display <\/b>and an 8.02-inch main foldable display<\/b>. Both panels support 120Hz refresh rates and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.<\/p>\n
Powering the foldable phone is the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition flagship platform<\/b>, which Vivo says was co-developed and optimised with MediaTek to deliver seamless multitasking, enhanced stability, and improved power efficiency.<\/p>\n
Camera performance is another area where Vivo is putting considerable emphasis. While some foldable phones have had to compromise on imaging hardware in pursuit of a slimmer design, Vivo has equipped the X Fold6 with a flagship-class camera system backed by ZEISS<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The setup comprises a 200MP main camera<\/b> featuring a Samsung HPB large sensor and ZEISS T* coating, alongside a 50MP 3x telephoto camera<\/b> using Sony\u2019s LYTIA 602 large sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The Vivo X Fold6 ships with the all-new OriginOS 7<\/b>, which introduces a range of productivity-focused features designed to make better use of its large foldable display. These include:<\/p>\n Beyond its displays, cameras and software, the X Fold6 is equipped with 12GB of RAM<\/b> and 512GB of internal storage<\/b>. It also packs a 6,900mAh battery<\/b> featuring Vivo\u2019s 5th-generation Silicon Anode Technology<\/b>, which is designed to increase battery capacity without requiring a significantly larger battery.<\/p>\n The foldable phone also comes with IPX8, IPX9 and IPX5<\/b> protection, giving it added resistance against water exposure.<\/p>\n Vivo will release the X Fold6 globally, but we don\u2019t know which markets will get it yet.<\/p>\n The Vivo X Fold6 comes in two colour options: Prism Black and Horizon Blue.
