alerted the public to steer clear of the following areas for an hour:<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-list-container\" data-testid=\"bulleted-article-list-test-id\">\n<ul class=\"pl-22 list-disc article-list-wrapper\">\n<li class=\"article-list-item list-item\" data-testid=\"bulleted-article-list-item-test-id\">\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Traffic junction of Pesawat Drive and Jurong Port Road\u00a0in (from 2.13pm)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"article-list-item list-item\" data-testid=\"bulleted-article-list-item-test-id\">\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Jalan Boon Lay (from International Road to Enterprise Road) (from 2.14pm)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Heavy rain was expected over the northern, western and central areas of Singapore from 2.20pm to 3.10pm, said the National Environment Agency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In its forecast for the first two weeks of October, the Meteorological Service Singapore said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/drier-start-to-october-expected-in-singapore-after-rainy-end-to-september?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\"><span class=\"inline font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"typography-test-id\">fair and warm conditions are expected on several days,<\/span><\/a> particularly during the first week of the month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Total rainfall for the first half of the month is forecast to be below average across most of the island.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">However, localised thundery showers may fall over parts of Singapore in
