Kris+ celebrates its 6th anniversary this month with a new edition of Birthday Bash,\u00a0<\/strong>which offers 8 mpd<\/strong> at 70 dining and retail merchants across Singapore, including Bee Cheng Hiang, Cedele, Haidilao and Tung Lok Seafood.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s slightly less generous than the 9 mpd offered for the 2025 edition,<\/a> but still an opportunity to earn up to 12 mpd<\/strong> when stacked with the right credit cards. Birthday Bash also offers discounted cash vouchers and additional savings on dining and shopping.<\/p>\n

Because the earn rate is a flat 8 mpd across all 70 merchants, the uplift for some merchants is better than others. You\u2019ll earn the same 8 mpd as you would have if you dined or shopped in person, and can redeem the vouchers after the Birthday Bash promotion period ends (though be sure to check the expiry dates before pulling the trigger!).<\/p>\n

Kris+ miles can be earned at more than 1,500 partner outlets across Singapore<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Earning miles at Kris+ merchants is simple. All you need to do is:\u00a0<\/p>\n

  1. Scan the merchant\u2019s Kris+ QR code (which is now part of SGQR<\/a>)<\/li>\n
  2. Enter the amount to be paid, and press \u201cPay\u201d to pay via Apple\/Google Pay<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Miles will be credited immediately upon completing the transaction, which makes Kris+ an excellent way of topping up a KrisFlyer balance.<\/a><\/p>\n

    Don\u2019t forget to transfer any KrisPay miles earned to KrisFlyer\u00a0within 21 days of the transaction, in their entirety.\u00a0<\/strong>If you wait longer than 21 days, or spend any of the accrued miles, the balance will be stuck in Kris+. Miles in Kris+ expire after six months, and can only be spent at a rate of 100 miles = S$1.<\/a><\/p>\n

    What card should I use to pay?<\/h2>\n

    Kris+ transactions code as online spend, and generally retain the same MCC as the underlying merchant (with some limited exceptions).<\/p>\n

    The following cards are the safest to use, as they\u2019re MCC-agnostic. So long as you transact on Kris+, you\u2019ll earn up to 4 mpd, on top of the Kris+ miles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    If you\u2019re visiting a dining merchant, then you can also consider the following cards for an extra 4 mpd.\u00a0<\/p>\n
