{"id":89132,"date":"2026-09-30T19:24:02","date_gmt":"2026-09-30T11:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=89132"},"modified":"2026-09-30T19:24:02","modified_gmt":"2026-09-30T11:24:02","slug":"cop-charged-with-possession-of-meth-and-drug-paraphernalia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=89132","title":{"rendered":"Cop charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"text-primary article-summary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013 A senior staff sergeant with the Singapore Police Force (SPF) was charged <!-- -->on Sept 29<!-- --> with one count each of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Muhammad Suhaimi Safinyi, 44, who has since been suspended from duty, allegedly had at least 0.66g of methamphetamine on or before July 31.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">Around the same time, he also allegedly had items such as<!-- --> a pipe<!-- --> and a clear container with a pipe in it, court documents said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">His case will be mentioned again in court on Oct 27.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In a statement to The Straits Times on Sept 30, the police said that Suhaimi was immediately removed from front-line duties following investigations by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB).<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201c(SPF officers) are expected to uphold the law and maintain the highest standards of conduct and discipline.
