But astonishingly, this isn\u2019t the case, as one of the stunt performers tasked with creating its movements proved in a now-viral Instagram post.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Jakub Hudlicky, a performer with Movement Production in the Czech Republic, published a series of videos showing himself and several other stuntpeople all strapped together with vests. Working together, the team made their way from one side of a soundstage to another, just like how the Katamari monster moved in Cregger\u2019s film.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DdrDieVFzRd\/embed\" height=\"710\" width=\"612\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">While the final product was, of course, modeled and put together using computer graphics, its movement was taken from these hard-working stunt performers, with Hudlicky explaining in a comment that the actual footage of them was \u201cnot in the final movie, but the movement kinda mimics how the CGI creature moves.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Hudlicky said the videos were filmed in July 2025, when he and the stunt team gathered together to figure out how the creature would actually locomote to chase Bryan around Raccoon City. Thanks to their performance, the Katamari monster rolls around like a group of actual human beings using its arms and legs, providing essential information to the CGI artists and animators responsible for creating it in the movie.<\/p>\n<p><output class=\"box-wrapper jsx-2673806401\" data-cy=\"article-video\"\/><\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">This is the latest insight from Cregger\u2019s Resident Evil to go viral after the director admitted that its ending wasn\u2019t actually the original conclusion he\u2019d written for the film; instead, he described its final sequence as a \u201ccontingency plan\u201d that he\u2019d filmed to \u201ckeep the stakes all the way until the end.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">\u201cIt&#8217;s like, \u2018save him, save him.\u2019 Whereas before it was just like \u2018kill them all,\u2019\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Resident Evil has been a major success, garnering mostly positive reviews and becoming the most successful film adaptation of Capcom\u2019s flagship horror game franchise ever.
