Guess who we bumped into eating at his uncle\u2019s stall? Weng Qing Hai! We were at the newly opened Hawkers\u2019 Street at Chinatown Point when we spotted him having lunch at Tien Lai Roast Delights. Turns out, Tien Lai was started by Weng Qing Hai\u2019s grandfather. After he passed away, his daughter and son-in-law, Uncle Lester, took over the family business. And the char siew is a must! Tender and juicy with caramelised, slightly charred edges and a lovely sweet-savoury flavour.
