Have you ever waded through a week of rapid-fire video game news and felt an immediate need to unpack it immediately, lest your head explode? That\u2019s sure how we felt after trying to figure out if we\u2019d be alive long enough to play Starcraft<\/em>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This past weekend, Blizzard hosted its annual Blizzcon event. It was a particularly loaded one, complete with surprise reveals that laid out the studio\u2019s next four years. Well, theoretically at least. There\u2019s the whole \u201cheat death of the universe thing\u201d that could get in Diablo 5<\/em>\u2019s way. Still, Blizzcon pointed out a lot of things that beg for discussion on Point It Out!<\/em>, our weekly news series that\u2019s built for moments like this. We love when people point at things. We love pointing at things. It\u2019s a match made in heaven.<\/p>\n

This week Simone de Rochefort is joined by a very special guest to help break it down: me, Polygon Editor-At-Large Giovanni Colantonio. I filled in for Editor-In-Chief Matt Patches, who has temporarily been exiled to France after committing sock-related crimes on last week\u2019s episode. He will return once he has learned how to crack the perfect apology to our perturbed audience. Until then, the Italians will have their moment in the sun.<\/p>\n

Enough about internal power struggles: Blizzard gets put through the ringer in this week\u2019s episode, as Simone and I try to make sense of every major announcement. Why is another Diablo game happening so soon? Is Starcraft <\/em>actually real? Can an impending marriage be destroyed by World of Warcraft: Forever<\/em>? All of that \u2014 and Hogger \u2014 is discussed in an episode that only people over the age of 35 can possibly relate to.<\/p>\n
