His eye for potential led him to the eight-year-old Li in 1971 and helped launch his career. Li\u2019s mastery of Chinese martial arts would elevate him to the podium at championships and launch him onto <span data-qa=\"Component-Text\" class=\"css-0 ef9u0v00\">cinema screens around the world<\/span>.<\/div>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Today, Wu\u2019s impact extends to a third generation of disciples.
