Rather, it’s becoming more and more embedded into the core processes that run businesses. So that’s really been the big shift,” said SAP Singapore’s managing director Eileen Chua.

“This means that the essential workforce skill we need now is what we call AI bilingualism, being able to speak the language of your profession and that of AI,” she added.

A finance professional, for example, does not need to become a data scientist, she said, but should understand how AI can help with tasks such as forecasting, reconciliations or closing, while combining the technology with business context, professional judgement and accountability.

“We see that the opportunity is not to remove people from work, rather to redesign work so that people can really focus on the high value-added tasks such as judgement, creativity, and also being in tune with delivering business outcomes.”

JOBS CHANGING BEFORE JOB TITLES DO As AI agents become increasingly capable of handling a wider range of tasks, analysts expect more jobs to be…

https://dam.mediacorp.sg/image/upload/s--vlePfTzn--/c_fill,g_auto,h_676,w_1200/fl_relative,g_south_east,l_mediacorp:cna:watermark:2021-08:cna,w_0.1/f_auto,q_auto/v1/mediacorp/cna/image/2026/09/14/ey.png?itok=U7fMT3dA
[2
18085,35,14487,9834,22,4041
post-84869","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-buzz-news-sg-global","tag-bots","tag-firms","tag-managing","tag-ramp","tag-singapore","tag-workers","wpcat-2-id
["GET
