A total of 28 hawker centres across Singapore will close for one to four days from Sept 14 to Sept 20 for cleaning.<\/p>\n

According to the National Environmental Agency, such cleaning is conducted regularly so that Singaporeans can enjoy affordable food in a clean and hygienic environment.<\/p>\n

The hawker centres undergoing cleaning include Maxwell Food Centre, Whampoa Drive Makan Place, Yuhua Market and Hawker Centre, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

In addition, two hawker centres \u2014 Kim Keat Palm Market and Food Centre at Toa Payoh Lorong 7 and Blk 726 Clementi West Street 2 \u2014 will undergo repairs and redecoration works starting Sept 14.<\/p>\n

The works are slated to be completed on Dec 13 and Dec 27 respectively.<\/p>\n

There are a total of 123 markets and hawker centres across Singapore.<\/p>\n
