Diablo 5, a brand-new mainline entry in Blizzard\u2019s long-running action RPG series, was announced today at BlizzCon 2026. <\/p>\n

A short teaser during today’s BlizzCon opening ceremony shows the return of the Lord of Terror, one century after the events of Diablo 4. <\/p>\n

The Diablo development team also revealed that Diablo 5 will release in Spring 2029, a full 6 years after the release of Diablo 4, and more than three decades after the series first launched. <\/p>\n

Diablo 5\u2019s story is confirmed to take place a full century after the events of Diablo 4, and will be the first game in the series that is set entirely post-apocalypse. <\/p>\n

More about Diablo 5 was revealed later in the day when the development team took to the stage during the Diablo 5 Forging the Next Era Panel to dive deeper into the game.<\/p>\n

BlizzCon 2026 also saw more Diablo news, including The Amazon – a new class pack coming to Diablo 4 in 2027, word that the Diablo 4 Collection coming to Nintendo Switch 2, and Season 15, a broad playable look-back at the history of the Diablo franchise, which is available now. <\/p>\n
