The immersive exhibition of The Story Of Studio Ghibli<\/em> will make its world premiere at Singapore\u2019s Gardens by the Bay on Dec 18.<\/p>\n The Singapore edition \u2013 which will span almost 3,500 sq m and run through July 4, 2027 \u2013 marks the largest presentation of The Story of Studio Ghibli to date, said exhibition organiser M Experience in a statement on Sept 12.<\/p>\n It will run at the West Lawn of Gardens by the Bay. Doors will be open from 10am to 7pm daily.<\/p>\n At the exhibition, visitors can \u201cjourney through unforgettable moments\u201d from Studio Ghibli classics, including Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind<\/em> (1984), My Neighbor Totoro<\/em> (1988), Kiki\u2019s Delivery Service<\/em> (1989), Princess Mononoke <\/em>(1997), Spirited Away <\/em>(2001), Howl\u2019s Moving Castle <\/em>(2004) and The Boy And The Heron<\/em> (2023), it said.<\/p>\n The exhibition will be an immersive, walk-through experience featuring 12 life-sized recreated worlds, said M Experience.<\/p>\n Visitors can encounter the Ohmu, the giant insects that inhabit the Sea of Corruption in Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind<\/em>, stand beside Totoro while waiting for the Catbus from My Neighbor Totoro <\/em>and wander through the mysterious streets of Spirited Away.<\/em><\/p>\n In addition, the showcase will feature the world\u2019s first 8m-tall 3D recreation of the iconic bath house in Spirited Away,<\/em> bringing Dogo Onsen \u2013 said to be the real-world inspiration behind the movie\u2019s setting \u2013 to Singapore\u2019s shores.<\/p>\n Interactive multimedia installations will be placed throughout the exhibition, which is designed for fans of all ages and will also allow them to explore themes such as creativity, resilience and environmental stewardship, said M Experience.<\/p>\n Educational initiatives and learning opportunities are being developed to \u201cencourage deeper engagement\u201d with these themes, it said, adding that further details will be made public closer to the Dec 18 opening.<\/p>\n Studio Ghibli \u2013 one of the world\u2019s most influential animation studios \u2013 was founded in 1985 by Isao Takahata, Hayao Miyazaki and Toshio Suzuki.<\/p>\n The exhibition is produced by Tsukuru and M Experience, and is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB). \u2013 The Straits Times\/Asia News Network<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n The immersive exhibition of The Story Of Studio Ghibli will make its world premiere at Singapore\u2019s Gardens by the Bay on Dec 18.
