Following her head-turning role in Climax<\/em><\/span> earlier this year, K-pop idol turned actress Nana is back on screens this month in the hotly anticipated Netflix period drama The Scandal<\/em>. A new adaptation of the famed French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses<\/em>, the series sees Nana share the screen alongside Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook<\/span>.<\/div>\n

A native of Cheongju in central South Korea, Nana was born in 1991 and first came to national prominence in 2009, when she stepped onto the stage as a model and debuted in the girl group After School. She later featured in the subgroups Orange Caramel and A.S. Red.<\/p>\n

Although After School effectively disbanded more than a decade ago, Nana returned to the music scene last year to launch her debut digital single, \u201cSeventh Heaven 16\u201d.<\/p>\n

These days, Nana is far better known as a screen actress. She has steadily built up a portfolio of striking performances and grown from strength to strength with each new challenge.<\/p>\n

Before beginning her acting career in earnest, she appeared in a few projects in brief cameo roles \u2013 generally as herself \u2013 such as in the 2011 K-pop-themed horror film White: The Melody of the Curse<\/em>.<\/p>\n
