Gorilla Grodd indicates it\u2019s shaping up to be just as wacky as a TV show about a talking genius gorilla hailing from the creators of American Vandal could possibly get.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">The People v. Gorilla Grodd is <u>an eight-part true crime documentary series hosted by The Daily Planet\u2019s Jimmy Olsen<\/u> (once again played by Superman\u2019s <u>Skyler Gisondo<\/u>), who is investigating whether Grodd was wrongly imprisoned for killing his father, King Grodd.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Jimmy Tatro has been cast as Gorilla Grodd, but the actor <u>recently explained that his role is mostly voice work<\/u> and that motion-capture will be used to record his facial expressions.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">That would explain why there\u2019s a performer in a gorilla costume in the set photos and videos all over social media while the production films at Georgia Institute of Technology. There are also videos showing what appears to be Tatro <u>performing \u201cParty Rock Anthem\u201d<\/u> (here\u2019s another quick listen to <u>Tatro\u2019s voice as Grodd<\/u>).<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">The show\u2019s cast also include Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, &amp; Wendell Pierce as Perry White, all of whom reprise their respective roles from James Gunn\u2019s Superman.
