{"id":8362,"date":"2025-11-02T16:38:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-02T08:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=8362"},"modified":"2025-11-02T16:38:10","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T08:38:10","slug":"avoid-upper-paya-lebar-road-area-due-to-risk-of-flash-floods-says-pub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=8362","title":{"rendered":"Avoid Upper Paya Lebar Road area due to risk of flash floods, says PUB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SINGAPORE \u2013  <!-- -->Anyone planning to visit Upper Paya Lebar Road on the afternoon of Nov 2 is advised to avoid the area due to the risk of flash floods, said national water agency PUB.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In a post on social media platform X, PUB said it is best to avoid <!-- -->Upper Paya Lebar Road for an hour from 3.13pm<!-- --> in case there are flash floods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">In another post, PUB added that heavy rain is expected over southern, eastern and central areas of Singapore from 3.30pm to 4.15pm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The Meteorological Service Singapore on Oct 31 said thundery showers are expected over parts of Singapore on a number of afternoons in the first fortnight of November.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-body-baseline-regular text-primary\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The showers can extend into the evening on a few days.
