Nintendo has said it will focus on Switch 2 games launching this winter. After the Direct is complete, Nintendo Treehouse: Live | September 2026 will reveal gameplay of some games in the Direct itself in a livestream lasting roughly 110 minutes.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">So, what can we expect to see at the Nintendo Direct? The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake got its time to shine in yesterday\u2019s Zelda anniversary Direct, so I suspect Nintendo will focus on other games here. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, due out October 22, seems like a safe bet, as does Fire Emblem: Fortune\u2019s Weave, which hits Switch 2 next week. With Ocarina of Time remake the big Christmas 2026 focus and planet of other announced games coming down the line, perhaps we\u2019ll have to wait until early next year for the reveal everyone\u2019s waiting for.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Earlier this week, a notable leaker claimed Nintendo was developing an all-new Super Smash Bros., a new Nintendogs game, and Mario Kart DLC with Star Fox. Those games are unconfirmed for now, but worth keeping in mind as the Direct nears.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">It\u2019s worth remembering the games that showed up in September 2025\u2019s Nintendo Direct: both Super Mario Galaxy games on Switch 2, a release date for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, a release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, the reveal of Fire Emblem: Fortune\u2019s Weave, a physical remake of the Virtual Boy, the reveal of Pok\u00e9mon Pokopia, new Donkey Kong Bananza DLC, and much more.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">So, strap yourselves in, Nintendo fans \u2014 our fingers are crossed for this Direct.
