This changes, however, with the release of the Prio, which comes with a pretty interesting premise: What if you could take back those little moments you spend waiting for the bus, and play a game?

That’s the aim of the Prio, anyways. The controller is a stocky little thing that’s apparently about the size of a credit card when folded. Yes, it folds – when not in use, the right controller twists and collapses back into the left controller. Thanks to this, the important parts of the Prio (the buttons, analog sticks and all) are protected when folded, and can be kept in your pocket.

To be clear, it’s not exactly invisible. When folded, it measures 107mm x 67mm x 23mm, and it weighs 101g, but Razer does seem to intend for you to keep this around your person, so whenever you do get extended downtime, you can quickly plug the Prio into your phone (via the USB-C port).

The Prio weighs 101g, so about half of what a phone weighs.

Image: Razer

The Razer Prio fits capacitive analog sticks and the usual D-pad, face buttons and triggers.

Image: Razer

The controller itself doesn’t lack any essentials. No extra buttons (unless you count the Razer Cortex button), but at least the Prior offers the bare minimum.

The Prio can fit phones with screen sizes up to 7 inches, and are compatible with iPhone and Android as long as you’re running at least iOS 18 or Android 14 respectively.

The Prio also doesn’t just support mobile games – Razer states that it can also control cloud gaming titles, with support for Xbox Cloud Gaming, Steam Link and PS Remote Play. All this is achieved via the Razer Cortex app, which also collates all your titles across these services into a single game library.

Availability and Pricing

The Razer Prio is currently on pre-order, and will ship starting 22 September 2026.
