A 71-year-old man was found dead at the foot of a HDB block in Punggol on Monday (Sept 7) afternoon.<\/p>\n
The incident happened at about 4.05pm at Block 126B Edgedale Plains.<\/p>\n
When AsiaOne arrived at the scene at about 7.50pm, there were at least three police fast response cars and a crime scene investigation van present.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A police cordon extended across the ground floor area below two stacks of flats and the driveway in front of it, with a blue tent placed near the edge of a pavement in front of the block.<\/p>\n

AsiaOne understands that the elderly man fell from one of the upper floors.<\/p>\n
Police told AsiaOne that he was found lying motionless at the foot of the block and was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic.<\/p>\n
They confirmed that he had fallen from height, adding that no foul play is suspected based on preliminary investigations.<\/p>\n
