After originally casting Ryan Hurst for the role, Amazon was forced to find another suitably ripped actor after Hurst was horrifically injured on set. Last week his replacement, Dave Bautista, showed off his transformation so far for the role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, though, Game of Thrones actor Haf\u00fe\u00f3r J\u00fal\u00edus Bj\u00f6rnsson, or Thor Bjornsson, who played The Mountain in the HBO series, has shared an image depicting him as Kratos, asking fans if they&#8217;d like to see him take on the role.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Be honest\u2026 would you guys want to see me as Kratos? \ud83d\udc40 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7qFGkSo6GF\">pic.twitter.com\/7qFGkSo6GF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Haf\u00fe\u00f3r J Bj\u00f6rnsson (@ThorBjornsson_) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ThorBjornsson_\/status\/2096705259036946858?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 6, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Posting on X, Bjornsson captioned the image, &#8220;Be honest&#8230; would you guys want to see me as Kratos?&#8221; The image, likely generated by AI, shows the ripped actor in an even more ripped state, dressed in Kratos&#8217; attire, complete with his trademark red tattoo, inked to honor his brother, Deimos.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, with Bautista already cast, Bjornsson&#8217;s desire to portray Kratos is merely a wish, and isn&#8217;t likely to come to fruition, but it&#8217;s fun to see the towering 6 foot 9 Icelandic strongman looking like a Spartan warrior.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several other actors have expressed a desire to play the role, including Christopher Judge, the game&#8217;s original voice actor.
