{"id":82227,"date":"2026-09-04T21:23:58","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T13:23:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=82227"},"modified":"2026-09-04T21:23:58","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T13:23:58","slug":"final-fantasy-vii-revelation-release-date-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=82227","title":{"rendered":"Final Fantasy VII Revelation release date announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div xmlns:default=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\">\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Square Enix has finally put a date on the conclusion to its lengthy Final Fantasy VII remake project. <b>Final Fantasy VII Revelation<\/b> will launch on <b>8 April 2027<\/b>, almost exactly seven years after the first instalment, Remake, arrived on the PlayStation 4.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth, which made their debuts as PlayStation exclusives, Revelation will be released simultaneously for the <b>PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC<\/b>. The date was announced during the latest PlayStation State of Play, together with a new trailer and a longer look at the gameplay. The story will once again revolve around Cloud and his companions pursuing Sephiroth, but with several unanswered questions left hanging after the ending of Rebirth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">As we can see in the trailer, the <b>Highwind airship<\/b> will play a major part in exploration, allowing players to travel around what Square Enix describes as a much larger open world than the previous two games. Piko the chocobo will also return as both a mount and a combat companion, while certain quests can be assigned to different party members, potentially changing how their accompanying scenes unfold. The pricier Premium editions include 24-hour early access and a Story Expansion Pass containing two future story DLCs.
