A woman was shocked to witness a near-accident<\/a> between a young cyclist and a fellow driver in Sengkang.<\/p>\n Stomper J<\/strong> shared footage of the incident which occurred at Block 438A Sengkang West Avenue on Aug 28 at around 7.50pm.<\/p>\n \u201cI was in my car and heard a loud screeching sound,\u201d she recounted.<\/p>\n The video, captured by J\u2019s rear camera, shows a young boy cycling out into a road and nearly getting hit by an oncoming car.<\/p>\n Fortunately, the silver car manages to stop in the time.<\/p>\n The cyclist, however, does not stop and is seen jolting before continuing on his way.<\/p>\n \u201cI quickly got down from my car and saw the boy speeding off,\u201d J told Stomp. \u201cThe driver was also stunned.\u201d<\/p>\n According to J, there was another boy on a bicycle next to her car \u201cand the driver scolded him\u201d.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, J said she went after the first boy, who was waiting for his friend not far away.<\/p>\n \u201cI reprimanded him big time for dashing out without due care,\u201d said the Stomper. \u201cI told him he might have died and uncle (driver) will go to jail. He started crying and said sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n J explained that she was determined to \u201ctalk some sense\u201d into the boy as he might not have “road safety sense\u201d due to his young age.<\/p>\n \u201cThank goodness the driver\u2019s reaction was superb and he e-braked in time to avoid an accident,\u201d the Stomper added.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel relieved by his excellent reaction and last but not least, I hope the boy really learns his lesson.\u201d<\/p>\n This is not the first time J has encountered reckless behaviour on the road.<\/p>\n In April, she came across a \u201cself-entitled\u201d and \u201cridiculous\u201d pedestrian<\/a> who was caught on camera crossing a road recklessly and making a rude hand gesture.<\/p>\n Asked if it was her first time encountering such an incident, J told Stomp at that time: \u201cNo, but this is one of the worst.
