The action kicks off on September 3 starting at 6am PT \/ 9am ET \/ 2pm UK \/ 3pm CEST \/ 10pm JST.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Sony has two State of Play broadcasts set for today airing back-to-back (IGN will be carrying the stream). The first is a new State of Play that features updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners. It concludes with an extended look at Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy ender, Revelation.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Right after that, we\u2019ll get a new State of Play Japan, which focuses on games from studios in Japan and Asia. It\u2019s been some time since we\u2019ve seen the game, so a September State of Play feels like an appropriate venue for an update.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Elsewhere, there are a number of PlayStation Studios that have been quiet for some time now. Dreams and LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule is among them, as is Days Gone developer Bend Studio. Will we see Firesprite\u2019s Until Dawn 2? And what about Haven Studios\u2019 Fairgame? Sony\u2019s live service ambition has fallen apart, but the last time I checked, Fairgame was still alive.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Check back right here to find out what PlayStation has in store for fans. I&#8217;ll be live blogging the event via updates below.<\/p>\n<h2 data-cy=\"title2\" class=\"title2 jsx-1903782357 jsx-3735650234\">Marvel&#8217;s Wolverine<\/h2>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Sony issued one last look at Marvel&#8217;s Wolverine, which is out this month exclusively on PS5. The trailer shows Wolverine fighting Trask&#8217;s Sentinels as well as co-op gameplay with Sabretooth. The trailer ends with the heroes fighting an enormous Sentinel as they hunt for Trask himself.<\/p>\n<h2 data-cy=\"title2\" class=\"title2 jsx-1903782357 jsx-3735650234\">Zach Cregger&#8217;s Resident Evil<\/h2>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">State of Play kicked off with a fresh look at Zach Cregger&#8217;s Resident Evil movie. The clip shown is the much talked about scene in which zombies fall from rooftops onto the street as star Austin Abrams runs for his life. This is the scene Cregger said Abrams almost died from a falling zombie!<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Cregger also popped up with a message to fans. Cregger&#8217;s Resident Evil hits theaters September 18, 2026.<\/p>\n<h2 data-cy=\"title2\" class=\"title2 jsx-1903782357 jsx-3735650234\">10 minutes to go!<\/h2>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">We&#8217;re less than 10 minutes away from Sony&#8217;s State of Play broadcast. Given what&#8217;s going on with extraction shooter Marathon and developer Bungie&#8217;s abandonment of Destiny 2, it probably comes as little surprise to see Destiny fans mobilize around this State of Play broadcast. The thing is, it feels extremely unlikely that Sony will green light a Destiny 3, which would surely be yet another risky expensive development project at this point. But could Bungie have more Destiny in some shape or form in the works?
