A 30-year-old man was found dead in the waters off Yishun Dam on Wednesday (Sep 2) morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In response to queries from AsiaOne, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force said they received a call for assistance at about 7.20am along Yishun Avenue 1.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, SCDF rescuers used rescue equipment to retrieve a body from the waters, where a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Based on preliminary investigations, the police said they do not suspect foul play.<\/p>\n
An image shared by a netizen on social media following the incident showed police cars parked along the side of the road, with an ambulance also present at the scene.<\/p>\n
Another netizen said the incident had caused traffic congestion in the area, with the jam reportedly taking almost an hour to clear.<\/p>\n
Police investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n
