A 62-year-old man who was found dead<\/a> at the foot of a Toa Payoh HDB block on Monday (Aug 31) had fallen from a residential unit while Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers were conducting an anti-drug operation.<\/p>\n The man was found motionless at the foot of Block 205 Toa Payoh North at about 2.05pm and was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n In response to queries from AsiaOne, CNB said its officers had visited a residential unit at the block at about 2pm as part of an anti-drug operation.<\/p>\n “Before CNB officers could gain access to the unit, the Singaporean man was seen climbing out of the window and subsequently fell from the unit,” a CNB spokesperson said.<\/p>\n Drug paraphernalia were recovered from the unit, CNB added.<\/p>\n A photograph of the scene seen by AsiaOne showed a blue police tent placed over the body beneath a stack of flats near a games court.
