It will be released in theaters on premium large formats including IMAX, 4DX and Dolby Cinema on June 2, 2028:<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">\u201c<u>Tom Cruise will return<\/u> as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle and will be joined by Anne Hathaway who is set to play a team owner and engineer in the upcoming follow-up to <u>the groundbreaking 1990 film<\/u> that revolutionized cinema. Cruise will star and produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper. <u>Jonathan Levine is set to direct<\/u> from a script by Will Staples.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Director Jonathan Levine\u2019s past credits include 50\/50, The Long Shot, Warm Bodies, The Night Before, and All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. His next film release is the fact-based sports drama Mr. Irrelevant: The John Tuggle Story, starring Superman\u2019s David Corenswet.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Anne Hathaway can currently be seen on cinema screens in <u>The End of Oak Street<\/u> and <u>Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Odyssey<\/u>. She\u2019ll next be seen in the thriller <u>Verity<\/u>.
