The game&#8217;s director, Ralph Fulton, said in an interview that he feels &#8220;great&#8221; about the launch timing for Fable, adding that shifting to 2027 helps the game avoid the &#8220;chaotic window&#8221; of its original timeframe of late 2026. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to IGN, Fulton said the reason for the delay &#8220;is pretty apparent to everybody.&#8221; He said he was &#8220;really looking forward to&#8221; launching Fable in 2026, saying he wasn&#8217;t happy about having another all-hands meeting with the team in January to tell them, &#8220;This is the year we ship Fable.&#8221; But alas, that&#8217;s what happened. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The rationale for it is absolutely sound. I&#8217;m glad that we&#8217;re avoiding that chaotic window,&#8221; he said. In getting pushed to February 2027, Fable avoids launching near Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (October 23) and GTA 6 (November 19). <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fable - Official Quest Gameplay | gamescom 2026\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vjQNvjTF56o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fulton did not mention GTA 6 by name in this interview, but he did previously.
