Singapan, a bilateral naval exercise between the two countries. Held from 26 to 28 August 2026 in the waters off Japan in the Pacific Ocean, the exercise saw the participation of the RSN\u2019s <i>Formidable<\/i>-class frigate RSS <i>Steadfast<\/i> and the JMSDF\u2019s <i>Asagiri<\/i>-class destroyer JS <i>Hamagiri<\/i> and <i>Akizuki<\/i>-class destroyer JS <i>Teruzuki<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"[&amp;:not(:first-child)]:mt-6 [&amp;:not(:last-child)]:mb-6 [&amp;_a]:text-link [&amp;_a]:underline [&amp;_a]:outline-none visited:[&amp;_a]:text-link-visited hover:[&amp;_a]:text-link-hover focus-visible:[&amp;_a]:bg-utility-highlight focus-visible:[&amp;_a]:text-base-content-strong focus-visible:[&amp;_a]:decoration-transparent focus-visible:[&amp;_a]:shadow-focus-visible focus-visible:[&amp;_a]:transition-none prose-body-base text-base-content\" dir=\"ltr\">During the exercise, both sides exchanged sea riders and conducted a series of conventional warfare serials. These included gunnery firings, communication exercises, and manoeuvring serials. Highlighting the importance of continued cooperation, COL Song said, \u201cThe RSN and JMSDF share a warm and friendly relationship, built on professional exchanges, exercises, and ship visits.
