Indie developer Ryan Laley reported that his equipment was stolen from his Gamescom booth, which he said was &#8220;a huge blow financially and mentally.&#8221; Fortunately, Laley has received an outpouring of support from the industry, including The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On X, CD Projekt Red responded to Laley&#8217;s initial message and offered to &#8220;see if we can send a few things your way,&#8221; before adding &#8220;No choom should have to start from zero.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We are very sorry this happened to you. We hope you know you\u2019re not on your own with this. And while it won\u2019t help right this second, we\u2019ll check the Arasaka hardware archives and see if we can send a few things your way. Iam8bit has posted that two of its laptops were stolen from its booth overnight despite the presence of security.
