SINGAPORE \u2013 Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) and Bukit Panjang NPC will merge to form Bukit Batok NPC on Nov 23, the police said on Oct 31. <\/p>\n
The merged centre, which is already under renovation, will reopen in 2026, while Bukit Panjang NPC will be redesigned into a neighbourhood police post (NPP).<\/p>\n
The merger is part of the transformation of the police\u2019s front-line operations to better address evolving security challenges and community needs, police said.<\/p>\n
The transformation also includes plans to progressively increase the number of police cameras to more than 200,000 islandwide, including in and around the Bukit Batok and Bukit Panjang estates. <\/p>\n
The police said there will be no change in police presence and incident response in Bukit Batok and Bukit Panjang estates.<\/p>\n
The merger between the two centres will allow for the organisation of larger-scale community policing events, and the merged force will be better resourced to handle crime cases, police said.<\/p>\n
While the NPCs are being renovated, residents can lodge a <\/p>\n report online for non-emergency cases<\/p>\n <\/a> or visit Bukit Panjang South NPP\u2019s self-help kiosk, or go to Choa Chu Kang NPC if they require in-person counter services. <\/p>\n For emergencies, residents should call 999.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
