{"id":79810,"date":"2026-08-27T04:17:45","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T20:17:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=79810"},"modified":"2026-08-27T04:17:45","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T20:17:45","slug":"8-drivers-caught-241-vehicles-impounded-over-illegal-cross-border-services-since-july-2025-singapore-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=79810","title":{"rendered":"8 drivers caught, 241 vehicles impounded over illegal cross-border services since July 2025, Singapore News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Eight drivers were caught over the past two weeks for providing illegal cross-border ride-hailing services, bringing the total number of cars impounded since July 2025 to 241, said Senior Minister of State for Transport Sun Xueling.<\/p>\n<p>In a Facebook post on Tuesday (Aug 26), Sun said that over 5,000 vehicles were checked by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) during the enforcement period.<\/p>\n<p>The enforcement checks were conducted at the land checkpoints and Changi area, based on regular tip-offs from the National Private Hire Vehicles Association and National Taxi Association, said LTA in a Facebook post on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We take these enforcement efforts seriously.
