A long-held Capcom rumor has finally been proven \u2014 sort of. Pragmata<\/em> is not secretly a Mega Man<\/em> game, but Capcom is bringing the Blue Bomber to its sci-fi adventure as a new in-game skin.<\/p>\n

The announcement came during Gamescom Opening Night Live, following a new trailer for Mega Man: Dual Override<\/em>. Capcom revealed that a Mega Man costume is \u201ccoming soon\u201d to Pragmata<\/em>, though it has not yet announced a release date or explained exactly how the skin will be obtained.<\/p>\n

Since Pragmata<\/em> was first revealed in 2020, fans have wondered whether the game was secretly connected to Mega Man<\/em>. The theory was fueled by the game\u2019s lunar setting, its focus on robots and artificial intelligence, and the design of Diana, an android girl who wears a blue jacket with sleeves that resemble Mega Man\u2019s arm cannon.<\/p>\n

Capcom repeatedly denied the connection. In 2025, Pragmata<\/em> producer Naoto Oyama told VGC that the game \u201cis not a Mega Man game\u201d and described it as a completely new Capcom IP. Capcom then leaned into the speculation with an April Fools\u2019 video showing protagonist Hugh wearing an elaborate Mega Man costume.<\/p>\n

That joke has now become a real piece of Pragmata<\/em>. While the skin does not change the game\u2019s story or transform it into a new Mega Man<\/em> adventure, it gives fans a chance to dress Hugh as Capcom\u2019s iconic robot hero.<\/p>\n

\n Mega Man returns in Dual Override
\n <\/h2>\n

The Mega Man skin was announced after a new trailer for Mega Man: Dual Override<\/em>, Capcom\u2019s first new mainline Mega Man<\/em> game since 2018\u2019s Mega Man 11<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The trailer showed more of the game\u2019s 2D side-scrolling action and introduced a new boss named Twinkle Girl. It also teased new gameplay systems, including what appears to be a transformation or upgrade for Mega Man\u2019s armor.<\/p>\n

Mega Man: Dual Override<\/em> is scheduled to launch in 2027 across gaming platforms. Capcom has not announced a specific release date.<\/p>\n
