It now has 12 CPU cores made up of 2 super cores, 4 performance cores, and 6 efficiency cores<\/b>. Apple claims it will deliver 20% faster multi-threaded performance compared to M5. M6 also features a new dual 16-core Neural Engine.\u00a0<\/p>\n To match the CPU, M6 features a 12-core GPU<\/b>, which Apple claims delivers two times the graphics performance of a Mac mini with the M4 chip. Thanks to the improved CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine, Apple claims the M6 Mac mini is up to 4.8x faster than the last-generation Mac mini when it comes to LLM prompt processing<\/b>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The M6 comes with 16GB of memory as standard <\/b>and can be upgraded to a maximum of 32GB. Memory bandwidth has been improved to 170GB\/s \u2013 up from 153.6GB\/s in M5.<\/p>\n For those needing more performance, the Mac mini can also be ordered with the M5 Pro chip<\/b>. And apart from the new chips, the Mac mini is also getting some nice upgrades. Both models will be equipped with Apple\u2019s N1 connectivity chip, which means support for both Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.<\/p>\n 2.5G Ethernet is now standard on the Mac mini. And round the back are three USB-C ports.
