A 59-year-old man, who was charged with the murder<\/a> of his neighbour at a Bukit Merah HDB block on July 20, was taken back to the alleged crime scene on Tuesday (Aug 25) morning.<\/p>\n Ng Swee Seng is accused of murdering Thiyagarajan Karunakaran<\/a>, also 59, at the lift lobby on the 16th floor of the Block 55 Lengkok Bahru.<\/p>\n He arrived back at the block at about 9.21am and was met by about seven police investigators.<\/p>\n Dressed in a red polo shirt and navy blue shorts, Ng was restrained at his wrists and ankles as he retraced what happened at about 4.45pm that day<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ng and the investigators spent about nearly an hour at the scene, where he was seen answering questions from investigators.<\/p>\n At times, he would point at certain spots as he spoke to investigators and officers were then seen adjusting evidence markers and making records.<\/p>\n The 59-year-old appeared stoic throughout and neighbours largely went about their daily routines normally<\/p>\n In an earlier statement on July 21, the police said that Ng and the deceased \u2014 both neighbours from the same floor \u2014 knew each other.<\/p>\n They had reportedly been involved in a longstanding feud, with arguments between them a common occurrence, since the victim moved into the block two years ago.<\/p>\n Neighbours have also told the media that the deceased would often return home intoxicated and had allegedly urinated publicly along the common corridor.<\/p>\n Appearing in a district court via video link on July 22 as the murder charge was read out to him, Ng said: “If I hear sounds, I will scold people.”<\/p>\n @asiaone<\/a> Ng Swee Seng is accused of murdering Thiyagarajan Karunakaran, also 59, at the lift lobby on the 16th floor of the Block 55 Lengkok Bahru on July 20. #sgnews<\/a> #Singapore<\/a> #Police<\/a> #Crime<\/a> #Court<\/a> \u266c original sound – AsiaOne<\/a><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/blockquote>\n He told the court that he had heard a voice that day, causing him to react.<\/p>\n The victim was found lying motionless and was taken to National University Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.<\/p>\n Ng will appear in court again on Wednesday.<\/p>\n [[nid:740871]]<\/p>\n![\"Ng](\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Lengkok%20Bahru%20murder%20-%20Ng%20Swee%20Say%20at%2016th%20floor_0.jpg\")
