The latter appears to taunt Take-Two and Rockstar by showing a snippet of a cutscene in which a character says they need to take &#8220;a leak.&#8221; This is the second cutscene to emerge this week, and there is growing concern that the leaker has access to a build of the game and may post significant story spoilers.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">These new videos are the seventh and eighth to leak this week. Take-Two wants identifying information associated with user accounts that were members of a number of Discord servers, including one relating to Australian GTA content creator Matthew &#8220;Matt&#8221; Judge, aka DarkViperAU. Judge has denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Meanwhile, Take-Two issued Github with a DMCA takedown notice on Wednesday, August 19, saying \u201cthe infringer is sharing the stolen content from our copyright.\u201d The takedown notice added: \u201cThe entire repository must be completely disabled, there are no remedies to rectify this clear case of infringement.\u201d Via the subpoenas, Take-Two wants to identify those responsible for posting the leaks on Github, as well as \u201call internal Microsoft business records and investigative records associated with Microsoft\u2019s internal investigation of the \u2018cyberleek\u2019 persona sufficient to identify the user(s), person(s) and\/or entity\/ies associated with that persona.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York granted the Microsoft subpoena on August 21. Last night, Xbox Chief Technical Officer Scott Van Vliet tweeted to address the situation, saying: &#8220;We are working closely with Take-Two and Rockstar Games to support efforts to protect creative works and intellectual property.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Discord told Variety: \u201cDiscord sometimes receives subpoenas related to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We review and comply with valid subpoenas when we receive them, as is standard and routine for companies like ours.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two have issued a statement. IGN has asked for comment.<\/p>\n<p><output class=\"box-wrapper jsx-2673806401\" data-cy=\"article-video\"\/><\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">According to Bloomberg, Rockstar still doesn\u2019t know how these leaks happened, nor who is behind them. And while there are no plans to shift next week\u2019s big Netflix reveal, Bloomberg reported that there is frustration and anger internally at recent events.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Undeterred, Netflix tweeted to tease <u>Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look<\/u>, which is set for Thursday, August 27, and will remain exclusive on the streaming platform for six hours before it makes its way to other platforms such as YouTube.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">GTA 6 is due out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on November 19, 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\"><em>Wesley is Director, News at IGN.
