Casa Lola just recently opened, and they’re a cozy Spanish bodega that serves up authentic and delicious food and drinks! Started by the husband and wife duo of Chef Juanjo Carrillo and hospitality professional Marcela Pino, they bring together Spanish flavours and Barcelona’s social culture in one place! Starting off, the Sangria ($38 for 500ml) are served from traditional terracotta jugs, keeping the drink cool and fresh, and their Spanish Wines ($22 for 200ml) are poured from the barrel into porrones that are Spain’s communal wine vessels! When it comes to food, every dish here was so good, but if I had to pick, I’d definitely be back for the Cantabrian Anchovy ($16 for 2pcs) layered with Foie Gras Ganache on a crisp brioche, and the Crispy Suckling Pig Ear ($15) that were fried so nicely and still succulent, addictively paired with a smoked paprika aioli! The “Huevos Rotos” ($32) is an amazing combination of double fried Spanish potato chips, fried eggs and king prawns sautéed in garlic alongside EVOO and chili for a hearty and addictive mix of textures and flavours! But the stars of the night have to be the Crispy Suckling Pig Deboned ($36), that’s slow cooked overnight for its tender meat that pairs so nicely with the extremely crispy skin! And the Seasonal Paella, which in our case was a Carabinero Red Prawn Paella ($48) made with award winning rice that soaks up all the seafood juices and spices while still retaining a satisfying bite! 📍 Casa Lola, 3 Boon Tat St, Singapore 069612 #sgfoodie #spanishfood #paella #creatorsearchinsights #singaporerestaurants

♬ Brass en Fuego – Tillie Marsh

@eshtonc

I’m officially adding this to my list of favourite restaurants to come back to!
