He has roped in a Singaporean friend, culinary student Bryan Kow, to plot the route for the MRT walks.

According to their trails plotted using Apple Maps and Google, the Downtown Line walking route is 50km long, his longest walk since he started. They will take breaks for food around 11am, 3pm and 6pm. They plan to carry a Singapore flag.

Other MRT walks are tentatively scheduled for the weeks ahead, with the Thomson East Coast Line on Aug 28; the North South Line on Sept 5; and the East-West Line on Sept 12.

Kam says he started with the shortest route according to mapping apps and the East-West Line walk will be the longest, although he has not plotted the route yet to know the exact distance.

Kow, 21, was unwell on the day Kam walked the NEL and did not join the hike, but went with his friend on the Circle Line trail. “I thought it was amazing,” he tells The Straits Times. “Except for the part where we got to a cemetery. I chickened out.”

During their walk from Caldecott to Botanic Gardens, the friends came to the perimeter of Bukit Brown cemetery at night and had to reroute because of a warning sign deterring trespassers.

Kam shares video reels of his MRT walks on his Instagram account @3vuhhh and TikTok account @trevuh2.

He used to work for a media company leading video content creation between August 2025 and May 2026 before pivoting to creating content for himself. As at Aug 19, he has about 2,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok. These included learning to breakdance; singing in front of an audience of 400 people, taking ice baths and knocking on people’s doors during Halloween.

“It made me realise how much more exciting life could get,” he says.

He has created a Telegram group, sidequest central, dedicated to the MRT walking challenge. He was also delayed by needing to charge his phone at one-north to keep filming.

On Aug 21, he will be carrying a power bank, an extra shirt, a towel and water. They can always rest and rejoin at a later stop, he says. “Ultimately, we’re doing this for the vibes.”

Tips for long walks

Planning on an endurance walk?
