{"id":76902,"date":"2026-08-16T14:57:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T06:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=76902"},"modified":"2026-08-16T14:57:00","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T06:57:00","slug":"nus-ntu-warn-against-unofficial-campus-tours-advertised-online-singapore-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=76902","title":{"rendered":"NUS, NTU warn against unofficial campus tours advertised online, Singapore News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Unofficial campus tours of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) are being advertised online, against university regulations.<\/p>\n<p>AsiaOne found listings for such tours, conducted by Chinese firms Trip2EU and Dalian Leixiang Technology, ranging from $63 to $165 per person on GetYourGuide, a third-party booking platform.<\/p>\n<p>The listings include a bilingual &#8220;2-hour expert-guided tour&#8221;, which are purported to be &#8220;led by experienced professionals providing meticulous and attentive service&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Posts on Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu were also found advertising NUS and NTU campus tours, though pricing was not revealed.<\/p>\n<p>An NTU spokesperson said that such listings are &#8220;not part of NTU&#8217;s official campus tour programme and are not authorised to conduct tours on behalf of the university&#8221;, in response to queries from CNA.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;NTU does not position or market its campus as a tourist destination, nor does it work with any operator to conduct such tours,&#8221; the spokesperson told CNA, adding that the school is reviewing its options to address such unauthorised listings.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, an NUS spokesperson said that unauthorised campus tours will be stopped on the spot and reported to the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson said that the university &#8220;does not engage, authorise or endorse any third-party tour operators&#8221;, and advised visitors to refer to the NUS Visitor Centre website.<\/p>\n<p>Official tours led by NUS student ambassadors are available for booking, with two routes \u2014 UTown and Arts and Culture \u2014 offered at $50 per person, which were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/singapore\/want-tour-nus-youll-need-book-slots-starting-january-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">introduced in 2025 to manage visitor traffic during peak periods<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you see campus tour advertisements on third-party online platforms and plan to book or pay for a tour, please ensure that the tour is authorised by the university,&#8221; said the NUS spokesperson in response to CNA.<\/p>\n<p>A user on Reddit, claiming to be a student associate at NUS, said that they have a reporting protocol for such unofficial tours, and that they have personally reported one such instance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not sure what happens after they are caught, but there are soft surveillance forms you can fill in for follow up from the school,&#8221; they said, adding that anyone who notices such tours should take a photo and inform the school.<\/p>\n<p>AsiaOne has reached out to Trip2EU, NTU, NUS and the Singapore Management University (SMU) for comment.<\/p>\n<p>[[nid:738329]]<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/singapore\/mailto:dana.leong@asiaone.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dana.leong@asiaone.com<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<center><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/singapore\/nus-ntu-unofficial-campus-tours-online-getyourguide-xiaohongshu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article At Source <\/a><br \/>\n<center\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unofficial campus tours of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) are being advertised online, against university regulations.
