{"id":76650,"date":"2026-08-15T13:36:44","date_gmt":"2026-08-15T05:36:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=76650"},"modified":"2026-08-15T13:36:44","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T05:36:44","slug":"your-late-son-has-blessed-many-mum-receives-heartfelt-thank-you-note-from-national-organ-transplant-unit-singapore-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=76650","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Your late son has blessed many&#8217;: Mum receives heartfelt thank you note from National Organ Transplant Unit, Singapore News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Before Nathaniel Zachariah Tan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asiaone.com\/singapore\/man-27-who-donated-organs-after-death-dressed-wedding-suit-funeral\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">died aged 27<\/a> from a rare brain disease last August, he told his fiancee that he wished to donate his organs.<\/p>\n<p>A year on, he managed to change the lives of at least three people.<\/p>\n<p>The National Organ Transplant Unit (NOTU) sent his mother, Queenie Tan, tokens of appreciation including a letter expressing &#8220;heartfelt gratitude&#8221; and detailing the lives he got to save, which she shared in a Facebook post on Thursday (Aug 13).<\/p>\n<p>Nathaniel&#8217;s liver went to a 64-year-old man diagnosed with liver disease and liver cancer.
