Since the Made by Google event is just around the corner, leaks surrounding the company\u2019s next-generation hardware continue to gather pace. Following the recent reveal of the Pixel 11 series\u2019 specifications and pricing, the spotlight has now shifted to the upcoming Pixel Watch 5.<\/p>\n
Purported marketing materials obtained ahead of the launch appear to reveal the smartwatch\u2019s headline features. A major focus of the Pixel Watch 5 appears to be deeper integration with Gemini<\/b>. According to the leaked promotional material, Google is positioning Gemini as an intelligent assistant that can anticipate your needs<\/b>, surface helpful information proactively, and provide contextual assistance throughout the day, all from your wrist.<\/p>\n
Health tracking also appears to receive a significant upgrade. Building on existing heart-rate monitoring capabilities, the Pixel Watch 5 is reportedly capable of detecting an absent pulse<\/b> and will automatically notify emergency contacts or emergency services if required.<\/p>\n
Sleep tracking is also said to be Google\u2019s most accurate yet<\/b>. Users can expect a more comprehensive analysis of each sleep stage, breathing rate, and overnight trends. The watch will also generate a personalised Sleep Score<\/b> to help users better understand their sleep quality and overall recovery \u2013 not unlike the Apple Watch.<\/p>\n
The Pixel Watch 5 is said to feature a 320ppi LTPO AMOLED display<\/b> protected by custom 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. <\/b>Under the hood, the smartwatch is expected to be powered by Qualcomm\u2019s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2<\/b> platform, paired with 64GB of onboard storage.<\/p>\n
Other rumoured features include Satellite SOS<\/b> support with two years of complimentary service,<\/b> and IP68 dust and water resistance. <\/b>The Pixel Watch 5 will come in <\/b>two sizes (41 and 45mm), and four case finishes (matte black, polished silver, satin pyrite, and champagne gold).<\/p>\n
Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 5 alongside the Pixel 11 series at its Made by Google event on 12 August, 6 pm ET in New York City.<\/p>\n
