According to the New York Post, he scaled to the top at around 2:30pm, attached several flags to the bridge before stripping naked and jumping off. Abaildayev was seen holding a bag above his head, apparently using it as a makeshift parachute for the more than 80m plunge. He was later rescued by the NYPD Harbor Unit and taken to hospital in stable condition.
