Charge+ <\/b>has just unveiled a new charging cluster located in the Tampines<\/b> area, serving the eastern and northeastern towns in Singapore. The hub spans 38 charging points<\/b> at four different locations: Giant Hypermarket, Courts Tampines, and T-Space, all located within 200m of each other.<\/p>\n

The hub features a mix of AC and DC chargers. You can find the charge types, as well as the speeds and rates, in the table below:<\/p>\n

The two DC charging points at IKEA Tampines are still undergoing installation, and Charge+ expects them to be ready within the year.<\/p>\n

The opening of the Tampines EV charging cluster was officiated by Minister of State for Transport, Baey Yam Keng.<\/p>\n

Charge+ claims this to be the largest charging cluster within the Tampines area, adding to the 30,000+ EV charging points currently dotted around the country.<\/p>\n

It does fall short of the 55 charging points at Great World that were made operational earlier this year, though the demands of both charging hubs are somewhat different. Charge+ states that the Tampines cluster will serve neighbouring residential towns, while the hub at Great World is located close to the high-density CBD area.<\/p>\n

The four locations, Charge+ says, were chosen due to their close proximity to each other, as well as being in places where drivers are likely to spend a good amount of time away from their cars \u2013 no coincidence that they\u2019re all commercial locations within Tampines Retail Park.<\/p>\n

To sweeten the deal, Charge+ is also offering free parking<\/b> at the charging stations. The company also states that the new chargers will, like their other chargers, fall under the yuu Rewards ecosystem, where money spent charging your EV can be converted to points for use at other retailers, as well as cash rebates up to 18% via the DBS yuu Visa card.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
