A content creator who attended a National Day Parade (NDP) preview<\/a> had his 30-millilitre bottle of perfume confiscated at the bag check station, prompting netizens to recount similar experiences.<\/p>\n Based on an earlier TikTok video, content creator @Iamkikidarling, who goes by Kiki Darling, appeared to have attended the first NDP preview on July 25<\/a> at the National Stadium.<\/p>\n On July 31, he uploaded a 24-second video announcing that his 30-millilitre bottle of perfume<\/a> \u2014 Sol de Janeiro\u2019s Cheirosa 62 perfume mist \u2014 was \u201cconfiscated\u201d at the bag check station<\/a>.<\/p>\n He later clarified in reply to a comment that he was asked to throw the bottle away.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m going to invoice to the Singapore government, ah,\u201d the content creator joked, prompting his friend to chuckle.<\/p>\n \u201cThe GST voucher<\/a> should include your perfume price,\u201d his friend suggested.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t worry, I\u2019m writing to the PMO… piss me off,\u201d Kiki Darling added as the pair continued laughing.<\/p>\n The video was cheekily captioned: \u201cCheering for Singapore with tears in my eyes and zero fragrance left to my name Majulah SG61. My Cheirosa 62 didn\u2019t survive the NDP checkpoint \ud83d\ude2d\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking to Stomp, Kiki said he was told by an NDP personnel that \u201cno liquids are allowed\u201d and that he had to dispose it.<\/p>\n \u201cHe even said, you can spray on yourself first but have to throw.\u201d<\/p>\n Kiki Darling\u2019s video has amassed at least 94,600 views, 5,992 likes and 1,043 shares.<\/p>\n Many shared similar experiences of having their liquid items confiscated at NDP\u2019s security checkpoint, with some sharing how they managed to salvage their belongings.<\/p>\n \u201cSame sis, I threw away my face mist,\u201d wrote one user, who added that a volunteer in uniformed \u201casked me to spray on his face too\u201d.<\/p>\n One user also shared that the same thing had happened to them \u2014 with the same perfume. \u201cIt\u2019s expensive you know,\u201d they protested.<\/p>\n Another user claimed that they had sought the nearest bush to hide their bottle in before entering the stadium.<\/p>\n Conversely, at least two users said that they were permitted to enter with travel-sized perfume bottles. \u201cI went for NDP yesterday (Aug 1)!!
