HashKey Holdings<\/a>, Hong Kong\u2019s largest licensed crypto exchange, said it is seeking to acquire Singapore-based Asia Pacific Exchange<\/a> (APEX) to expand its regulated financial market infrastructure footprint in Asia.<\/p>\n In a statement, HashKey said its wholly owned subsidiary, HKDAG (Singapore) Pte Ltd, has signed a non-binding framework agreement with APEX and its major shareholder regarding the proposed acquisition of the exchange operator\u2019s entire equity interest.<\/p>\n The proposed deal remains subject to the execution of definitive agreements, completion of due diligence, and approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).<\/p>\n HashKey said no definitive agreement has been signed and the transaction may or may not proceed.<\/p>\n APEX operates a licensed derivatives exchange in Singapore under an Approved Exchange (AE) licence issued by the MAS. Its affiliate, Asia Pacific Clear Pte.
