{"id":72061,"date":"2026-07-27T17:57:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T09:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=72061"},"modified":"2026-07-27T17:57:00","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T09:57:00","slug":"this-chef-turns-down-to-earth-cantonese-recipes-into-luxury-diasporic-gastronomy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgbuzz.com\/?p=72061","title":{"rendered":"This chef turns down-to-earth Cantonese recipes into luxury diasporic gastronomy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Private kitchens and high-end boutiques might seem worlds apart, but Eva Che, founder of catering brand CheHub, has found that they share common currencies: atmosphere, detail and hospitality.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cThe food [at a private kitchen] is the interesting product that makes people curious to come,\u201d says Che, 30, a self-taught cook who draws on her Cantonese heritage, Czech upbringing and experience in luxury fashion retail for her catering brand. \u201cWhat keeps the client coming back again and again are the little things, such as plating, how they felt or even if the chair was comfy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">This philosophy stems from her years spent working at high-end designer retailers Moncler and Gucci in the Czech capital, Prague, between the ages of 18 and 25, where she learned the importance of luxury hospitality and curating a stylish experience for the customer.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cWhy did they come here? Are they getting what they wanted? Are they happy?
