Depending on which live-action Street Fighter movie you’ve seen, it’s either the best thing you’ve ever watched or so bad that you wonder how it got made. How long has Street Fighter been in the works?<\/h2>\n

Like several other video game adaptations, the Street Fighter movie has been in development for a while now. Legendary Entertainment announced that it had acquired the rights to produce the film back in April 2023, and YouTuber twins Danny and Michael Philippou were originally attached to direct it. The pair had already received critical acclaim for their feature film directorial debut, Talk To Me, but they later dropped out of the movie in June 2024.<\/p>\n

A few months later, Bad Trip director Kitao Sakurai was revealed to be the new director for the project.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
