Aside from being a fashion statement, it should also be a piece of engineering that is comfortable and fitting to the face.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Choi also told us that <b>Samsung has filed a whopping 200 patents for this new smart wearable category<\/b>, but only a portion of that is in the two new eye wear products announced. According to Choi, 50 engineers from Samsung, Qualcomm and Google worked together to optimise the battery chemical mix for the eyewear.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">The <b>Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1<\/b> processor and a split computing process also help the glasses last longer, since a paired phone can be used for heavy computing tasks. If the LED is blocked or if the glasses are not being worn, the camera is disabled as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"_base_1s8rd_1 _default_1s8rd_12\">Unfortunately, there\u2019s no news yet on whether the Gentle Monster and Warby Parker smart glasses will come to Singapore.
