Most people facing a 7am flight have one goal: get to the airport with as little effort as possible.<\/p>\n
But three women in Singapore decided to walk to Changi Airport – with their luggage in tow in the middle of the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Their adventure, shared by TikTok user Angie, has already racked up more than 500K views.<\/p>\n
She shared that they set off from Tanah Merah at 2.42am.<\/p>\n
According to Google Maps, it would take them just over two hours to walk to the airport. The same journey would’ve taken just 16 minutes by car.<\/p>\n
Armed with their luggage, handbags and what we can only assume was unwavering confidence in Google Maps, the trio started wheeling their suitcases through Singapore’s quiet streets while most people were still asleep.<\/p>\n
At one point, they found themselves walking through a dark underpass, using their phone flashlights to light the way. Thankfully, this was Singapore and not the opening scene of a horror movie.<\/p>\n
Roughly two-and-a-half hours and almost 9.4km later, the trio finally rolled into Changi Airport at 5.04am.<\/p>\n
Amazingly, they still had close to two hours before boarding their flight.<\/p>\n
Their unusual commute amused netizens, many of whom admitted they would have never considered attempted something like this.<\/p>\n
“I love Singapore because three girls can walk all the way to the airport at 2am on proper footpaths and feel completely safe,” said one.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One netizen had just one question:\u00a0“What brand are your luggage? Will you need to replace the wheels soon?”<\/p>\n
Another joked the real workout wasn’t the walking – it was dragging a suitcase across pavements for nearly 10km.<\/p>\n
Several viewers also wondered how the trio managed to avoid arriving at the airport looking like they just finished an SAF route march.<\/p>\n
